Allergenicity:The Gal d 6 allergen, referred to by the authors Amo et al. in PMID 20509661, as YGP42. The allergen consists of the carboxy terminal 284 amino acids which are cleaved from the primary translation product of vitellogenin-1 found in Genbank entry D89547 and UNIPROT P87498 as described in the 2010 publication. Gal d 6 has three potential N-linked glycosylation sites and the apparent molecular weight is stated as approximately 35 kDa by the authors.
