| Allergenicity: | Five fig-allergic patients (oral allergy syndrome, dyspnea, pruritus shortly after ingestion of fig) with positive fig ImmunoCAP or prick-to-prick were tested. Three of five patients had a positive SPT with purified Fic c 7. All of them had Fic c 7-specific IgE detected by immunoblot. A negative control serum (non-specific symptoms, negative fig ImmunoCAP and prick-to-prick) did not bind the allergen in the Western blot. |
