| Allergenicity: | Sera from 9 fish-allergic patients with symptoms to multiple fish species and fish-specific IgE as determined by commercial ImmunoCAP to various fish extracts were tested. All sera had IgE to recombinant Tric l 1.0101 (expressed in E.coli) and partially purified natural cutlass parvalbumin in an ELISA. Recombinant and natural parvalbumins were able to inhibit IgE binding to cutlass extract by 30% and 59%, respectively. |
