| Allergenicity: | Sixty-one sera from mango-allergic patients (as defined by history) were tested by IgE-ELISA. Of those, 24 (39%) had IgE to rMal i 4.0101. In the subgroup of 26 patients with mango ImmunoCAP > 0.35 kU/L, 16 (62%) were sensitized to Man i 4.0101. IgE-levels to Man I 4.0101 correlated with IgE to Art an 4.0101 (profilin from sweet wormwood pollen). 12 sera from mango allegric patients who were sensitized to Man i 4.0101 were also tested with rMan i 4.0102 by IgE ELISA. All sera also reacted to Man i 4.0102, albeit with significantly lower signals. |
