Allergenicity:Twenty two patients out of 63 recruited with peach allergy also had olive pollen sensitization. These were tested for IgE binding to recombinant E. coli produced protein by ELISA. Earlier work had shown IgE binding to this protein from a different subject as early as 2008. Natural protein was also purified and proteomics demonstrated it was the same protein and had IgE binding in 2D gel blots.
